Information for Buyers

For years, finding a top-class competition horse has relied on tapping into a network of contacts – each wanting a cut from the eventual sale price.

Information is often scratchy and inaccurate and, even with the best of intentions; you’re often reliant on the opinion of someone you’ve never met before.

At Elite Equine International, we put the control back into your hands. You can view detailed information on a range of horses from the comfort of your own home.

We’re here to help; so if you need more information before arranging to view a horse, we’ll make sure that your questions are answered. Vendors on this site commit by contract that the information they provide to us about their horses is true and accurate.

Anyone can take a look at a list of the horses by category but, before releasing detailed information about individual horses, we ask that you register with us. The process is straight-forward, and requires the minimum of information from you. We also ask you to agree to confirm your agreement to our terms of business.

Once you’ve found a horse or horses that you want to view, we ask you to complete, sign and return a Buyers Contract. With this in place, we can either put you directly in contact with the vendor, or organise to take you there ourselves.

We’re here to make the process of buying a horse as simple and trouble-free as possible. We can organise all aspects of your buying trip, such as collection from the airport, arranging accommodation – even negotiating the purchase price on your behalf. For these services we charge a flat rate of £500 per day plus expenses at cost.

Our charging structure relating to the sale of horses is equally transparent. We charge you a fee equal to 10% of the purchase price for horses valued up to 300,000 Euros and 7.5% for those sold for upwards of 301,000 Euros.

This removes the significant cost and confusion of multiple agents’ fees and ‘hidden’ commissions. Vendors are not charged any further commission on the sale of their horses.
