Information for
Sellers
If you’re looking to sell a top-class competition
horse, we can help to open your market up to include potential buyers
across the world. Better still – unlike many traditional agents
- we won’t even charge you commission.
At Elite Equine International, our commission is paid
by the purchaser – not you as a seller. We charge purchasers
a fee, calculated as a percentage of the agreed purchase price.
We ask you to pay a listing fee of £150
towards the cost of creating a profile for your horse on the site.
For this sum, we will take all information from you necessary to
create a listing for your horse, and make this web-ready. We will
build your horse listing and proof this to you. On approval we will
host the horse's listing for up to 6 months without additional charge.
Where practical, we will come to your premises
to video the horse and take a series of still shots.
Before accepting a horse listing from you, we
ask you to complete, sign and return a Vendor’s Contract.
This asks a series of questions about the horse, such as details
about its competition career and whether it has any vices or has
experienced any serious illness. The purpose of the contract is
to ensure that the information passed to potential purchasers is
both complete and accurate.
We also ask you to sign up to our terms of business,
which dictate that you will continue to deal through Elite Equine
International, in relation to any purchaser introduced by us.
Once a buyer has agreed to buy your horse, we
will charge you an administration fee of £250. Therefore the
total fees you will pay us for selling your horse – regardless
of its value – is £400.
Above all, we’re here to ensure that
serious buyers and sellers have a common forum through which they
can make contact with each other and trade in a open and fair manner.
